"This cluster of COVID-19 infections serves as a reminder of the importance of physical distancing with anyone outside of your immediate household and wearing masks or face coverings in indoor public spaces", York Region Public Health said.

Health authorities say they have confirmed 929 cases of COVID-19 in the province in the past 24 hours.

On Tuesday, the province reported 827 COVID-19 cases, and Monday 851 cases.

"I wouldn't go as far as (to say the curve is) flattening but we see it going in the right direction and that's really positive", he said in a news conference Wednesday.

Of Ontario's hot zones, Ottawa once again has the lowest number of new cases.

Local figures from Ottawa Public Health are due later in the day.

Interior Health announces record-breaking daily total of new COVID-19 cases
The county reports a total of 426 deaths in the county because of the coronavirus, while the state's total rose one to 411. Covid Act Now (covidactnow.org) says Covid is "not contained" in Pike County, although it is at "low levels".

Ontario recorded another 800-plus day of new COVID-19 cases and five more related deaths Wednesday.

Those four regions have been under enhanced health restrictions since earlier this month in an attempt to contain a recent spike in cases.

York Region was also pushed back on October 19.

The province also said 312 people are now in hospital with COVID-19, including 71 in intensive care.
