Rising coronavirus cases in key presidential battleground states a little more than two weeks before Election Day are the latest worry for election officials and voters fearing chaos or exposure to the virus at polling places despite months of planning.

The group had warned in a July report that large-scale voting by mail would waste resources, create a risk of complications, such as fraud.

As I was researching this, the County Board of Elections mailed a copy of both of our voting records. While another third say they plan to fill out their mail-in ballots, but hand-deliver them to either their November 3 polling place in-person, or drop them off in an official county ballot drop-off location - apparently not trusting the U.S. Postal Service to get them to clerks in time to be counted.

But not every voter will use their ballot, some will go to the polls to vote in person on a paper provisional ballot. She recommends mail-in voters make sure they follow the rules - there are reminders on the outside of the return envelopes - because, at some point, there will no longer be enough time to allow voters to correct their processing mistakes. One reason they're doing it despite being in the midst of a pandemic: They don't trust the mail to deliver their ballots.

Breckel said 3,807 absentee ballots were mailed to voters by the vendor on Friday, Oct. 9.

Early voting at Fenway will be available on Saturday, Oct. 17 and Sunday, Oct. 18 from 11 7 p.m. Boston voters looking to cast ballots at Fenway should use the Gate A entrance at the corner of Jersey Street and Brookline Avenue. "However we will have those available if they do need one".

Onondaga County has the highest voter registration in at least a generation at 306,934, according to the Board of Elections.

Voting is the only way that we can have our voices be heard as USA citizens. Voters can register to vote up to and including Election Day. But still, when I go to that website, it says there is no record of our votes.

The Electoral College has been a hot topic recently as questions arise about how democratic it is.

Texas is an excuse-required state for voting by mail, with registered Texans 65 and older automatically eligible, as well as those who claim disability or who will be out of their home county on Election Day.

"Almost all states just say 'Whoever gets the popular vote gets all the electoral votes from our states as well, '" said Joshua Munroe, doctoral candidate in political science. And early voting numbers keep growing across the United States.

However, we have consistently argued that voting by mail should never replace in-person voting - and that "people who are able to vote in person should do so".

Wake County Lake Lynn Community Center in NW Raleigh has over 400 people in line to early vote at 7:50 am.

Ryan also found that about 38 percent of first-day votes were by people who participated in the Democratic primary compared to 32 percent Republicans. Registered voters may stop at the office, apply for a mail-in ballot, receive the ballot, fill it out, and turn it in, all without leaving.
