US ELECTIONS: Trump chickens out of the next Presidential Debate

Asked by Fox News' Sean Hannity last night if he'd tested negative for coronavirus yet, President Trump refused to answer, telling Hannity instead, "I took this Regeneron, it's phenomenal". The commission cited health concerns following Mr Trump's infection as the reason for the change.

But the whole event has now been thrown into doubt after Mr Trump said he would not due the debate in a virtual form. Biden's campaign website argues that the ACA has assuaged more than 100 million people who "no longer have to worry that an insurance company will deny coverage or charge higher premiums just because they have a pre-existing condition".

UPDATE: Oct. 8, 2020, 11:49 a.m. EDT Updated with additional statement on the Oct. 15th debate from the Biden campaign.

BIDEN: The Democratic campaign has proposed building on the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as "Obamacare". The commission announced, "candidates would participate from separate remote locations". It's quite possible Trump holds firm and backs out of doing next week's debate but that would be a massive mistake for him.

Mr Biden moved quickly to ensure he would still appear in front of a television audience next week.

3 World Series Contenders Nobody is Talking About
Despite being loaded on offense, the Cardinals have been inefficient in 2019 and rank near the bottom-10 in runs and home runs. Louis has title-winning pedigree and are loaded offensively, but thus far simply haven’t delivered consistent results.

"We agree that this should happen on October 22, and accordingly, the third debate should then be shifted back one week to October 29", the Trump campaign wrote in a statement to reporters. As he campaigned in Arizona, Mr Biden said he would indeed attend the October 22 debate, scheduled for Nashville, Tennessee. "I'm showing up. I'll be there". "I'm not doing a virtual debate". He was admitted to Walter Reed Medical Center on Friday, where he was treated for three days before returning to the White House on Monday night.

During an interview on the Fox Business Channel, Mr Trump said: "No I'm not going to waste my time on a virtual debate".

The president, through his Twitter account, had said earlier in the week he was looking forward to participating in the debate.

"The CPD and the media can not hide Joe Biden forever", the Trump campaign wrote. GOP strategists say the party's support began eroding after his seething performance against Mr Biden last week when he did not denounce a white supremacist group.

Campaigning with Ms Harris in Arizona, Mr Biden called Mr Trump's characterisation of the first black woman on a major party's presidential ticket "despicable" and added that it was "so beneath the office of the presidency".
