"Florida man" headlines cover a broad spectrum, but we love to see "saves puppy from alligator" this time.

According to a report by Charleston's ABC News 4, Richard Wilbanks went into a pond and pried open an alligators mouth to save his puppy, Gunner, after he was pulled under by the beast.

Eventually, he is able to free Gunner, who runs away yapping.

Recalling the hairy moment to CNN, Willbanks said: "We were just out walking by the pond, and it came out of the water like a missile".

"I never thought an alligator could be that fast".

"He had just one little puncture wound", Wilbanks said.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales has an Easter egg honoring Chadwick Boseman
Eric Monacelli, director of production for Marvel Games, tweeted approvingly after fans discovered the Boseman tribute. As it turns out, there's a glitch in the game where the character model for Miles gets replaced with random objects.

Willbanks said he managed to get out of the tussle with minor injuries. "My hands were just chewed up".

The video was captured thanks to a partnership between the Florida Wildlife Federation and a the fSTOP Foundation, who have set up cameras in the area to capture videos of things such as deer or bobcats. "We don't just want to tolerate wildlife, but, rather, we want to thrive with wildlife on a shared landscape".

Even after his close encounter with the gator, Wilbanks agreed with the wildlife organization's mission, saying he does not want the alligator removed from the pond or destroyed.

"Wildlife is all around us and we are all a part of the same ecosystem", she said.

Both Gunner and Wilbanks have recovered and are back to enjoying their regular walks-only now, the two walk on-leash and 10 feet away from the waters' edge.

The love that we have for our pets is just awesome and there is nothing that would match that type of love, ever.
