PM Modi, Bhutan's Prime Minister To Launch RuPay Card Phase 2 Tomorrow



The RuPay card Phase-II was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of Bhutan Lyonchhen Dr. Lotay Tshering at a virtual ceremony today. India has recently opened its space sector for private enterprises. "This will promote capacity, innovation and skills". He asserted that Bhutan's requirements will always be top priority for India.

He also asserted that India stands solidly with Bhutan in this hard hour of the COVID-19 pandemic, and said meeting the neighbouring country's requirements will always be its top priority. Mr Modi also expressed happiness that work is going on rapidly to send Bhutan's satellite to space with the help of ISRO, next year.

The prime ministers of the two countries had jointly launched Phase-I of the project during PM Modi's state visit to Bhutan in August previous year. "Today with the launch of phase-2, we welcome Bhutan as a full-time partner in the RuPay network", Modi said.
