On June 14, ₹500 on-the-spot penalty was fixed for not wearing a mask in public place under a rule passed by the Delhi government under the Delhi Epidemic Diseases, COVID19 Regulations, 2020, duly approved by the L-G.

It has been clarified in the notification of the Delhi government that a fine of 2 thousand will be charged for not following the quarantine rules, not adopting social distance, and not wearing face masks in public places. "In the past few days, we are getting some positive indicators".

India's coronavirus tally crossed the 90-lakh mark on Friday with 45,882 new infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The total cases in the country now stands at 90,04,366 including 4,43,794 active cases and 84,28,409 recoveries. With 584 new deaths, the toll mounted to 1,32,162.
