Sia Shares'Hey Boy Single Ahead of New Album and IMAX Film'Music

Sia's kind of the queen of creativity so it makes flawless sense that as a director her first feature film would fit the bill.

Sia will also release a new album alongside the film, featuring 10 original songs performed by the cast. The film follows Zu (Kate Hudson), a woman who becomes the guardian of her half-sister, Music (Maddie Ziegler), a teenager with autism, after Music's grandmother dies. Sia additionally co-wrote the movie's screenplay and all the songs from it.

"Hey Boy" will appear on Sia's forthcoming album Music: Songs from and Inspired by the Motion Picture. ("Hamilton") and Maddie Ziegler, who has featured in most of Sia's movies over the previous few years.

The record, meanwhile, will drop on February 12 and includes the previously shared tracks Together, Courage to Change, and Saved My Life.

A press release accompanying the announcement calls Sia's music "integral to the story of the film as the characters examine the fragile bonds that hold us together and, through fantastical musical sequences, imagine a world where those bonds can be strengthened in times of great challenge".

The Australian pop icon returns in 2021, detailing her first studio LP since the festive frolics that adorned 2017's "Everyday Is Christmas".
