Armie Hammer to Lead Paramount+ Limited Series The Offer

The making of these films will be crafted as a limited series that will feature Hollywood actor Armie Hammer as a producer of these movies and will deal with how he made these Oscar-winning films.

The making of "The Godfather" titled "The Offer" is based on Al Ruddy's experiences making the 1972 film alongside director Francis Ford Coppola, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Mario Puzo. According to the official announcement, The Offer will consist of 10 episodes and will be written and executive produced by Oscar nominee Michael Tolkin (The Player).

Nikki Toscano and Leslie Grief will serve as executive producer, alongside Tolkin and Ruddy. "The Offer" will be his first regular starring role on a TV series, however. "Edgar", "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.", and "The Lone Ranger".

The drama series is one of the many high-profile projects that ViacomCBS had announced when streaming service CBS All Access was rebranded as Paramount Plus in September.

The renamed service, which is not now available in the United Kingdom, will feature content from ViacomCBS brands including MTV, BET, Comedy Central, CBS, Nickelodeon, and Smithsonian Channel, as well as movies from Paramount Pictures.

The biographical drama also marks the latest series now in the works at the forthcoming Paramount+, with other projects including Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, The Man Who Fell to Earth, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, MTV's Behind the Music - The Top 40, The Game, Twenty Four Seven, You're Killing Me, Flashdance and The Real Criminal Minds.
