Wonder Woman 1984 will stream on HBO Max in some seriously ultra HD glory! 2

We're two weeks away from the release of Wonder Woman 1984 into cinemas locally. IN THEATERS on December 25th and streamed exclusively in the U.S. on @hbomax.

WW84 director/co-writer Patty Jenkins took to Twitter yesterday to make the announcement that WW84 will be the very first film to debut on HBO Max in all the latest ultra HD formats. However, it seems that HBO Max has just addressed that issue, by overcoming the barriers of not only resolution limitation but also for sound and HDR. This is an incredible film that really comes to life on the big screen and, working with our partners in the exhibition community, we will provide that option to consumers in the USA where theaters are open.

The film will be available for a month on HBO Max in the US included at no additional cost to subscribers, beginning December 25, 2020.

WarnerMedia has now announced that HBO Max will no longer top out at HD. For those of you who need to catch up on what's happening with WW84, the film is releasing to theaters and on HBO Max simultaneosly on December 25th. However, on HBO Max, users are only allowed to use a maximum of 1080p. The 4K version will be available for Apple TV 4K, Amazon Fire TV products, Chromecast Ultra, and other Android TV devices. Thus, there is no option to view it, (we haven't seen Tenet either), and that's a shame.
