There are now no official patch notes for the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War mid-season update.

It's not clear right now if Firebase Z is the same rumored Vietnam Zombies map, or if that one will come at a later date.

With the release of Season 1 Reloaded, more content is coming in the coming weeks to Black Ops Cold War. This is good news as the stim glitch was making the game neigh unplayable because of how it easy it was for cheaters to win without needing to kill anyone by staying in areas full of gas. Treyarch started teasing the new map earlier this week with black and white photos that gave fans their first look at Firebase Z, but many people didn't expect a new map until season two of Black Ops Cold War.

A mid-season update for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Season One has been delivered with a roadmap for further additions.

For those craving that Zombies experience right this minute, the new Raid map for Onslaught is now available for PlayStation players alongside the new Wakizashi Sword (which is not platform-specific).

Furthermore, there is free access to Black Ops Cold War Zombies from now until January 21st. As you can see below, "Omega Outpost 21" appears to be some sort of abandoned military facility, (aren't they all?), which has ties to the Dark Aether portals of Cold War's current Zombies map, Die Maschine. There are also multiple Easter eggs to discover and solve-and Firebase Z will likely have more secrets to discover.

The second Zombies map called Firebase Z is also getting released that same day, and it will be free for all players.
