Dr Dre was hospitalized after he was diagnosed with brain aneurysm at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles last week Monday. "Safe and looking good", he said in a Friday tweet. For Dr. Dre, the news is even more remarkable, considering that almost half of those who suffer from brain aneurysms result in death, and almost two-thirds of all survivors have some neurological defect.

Aside from the outlet, fellow rapper Ice-T posted an update about the "No Diggity" hitmaker's condition and revealed that he is "home, safe and looking good". Doctors performed a battery of tests during Dre's hospital stay to determine what caused the brain bleed, but they reportedly still don't know, which is partly why medical professionals will continue to monitor the rapper at home. According to TMZ, Dre, born Andre Young, checked out of ICU on Wednesday and was ultimately moved into a private room where he continued to recover. "One Love!" the singer added.

"Thanks to my family, friends, and fans for their interest and well wishes". "I will be out of the hospital and back home soon".

Ice-T, one of the stars of television's Law & Order: SVU series, was upbeat in his latest Twitter message on Dr. Dre's condition.

His estranged wife Nicole Young is asking for half of the rapper's estimated $1bn (£730m) fortune. However, Dre's still not in the full clear just yet and will still require medical attention with 24/7 monitoring for the next few weeks as a precaution. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. 'I'm doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team'.
