Dustin Diamond - aka Screech from 'Saved by the Bell' - Hospitalized

"Saved by the Bell's Dustin Diamond is reportedly in the hospital according to TMZ

"Saved by the Bell" alum Dustin Diamond has been hospitalized, Fox News has confirmed.

Per TMZ, the lively performer was in Florida over the weekend and was hospitalized after feeling aches and pains throughout his body. His medical team are running several tests and believe it is likely cancer.

He lost his mother to breast cancer and reports suggest he will undergo a biopsy to help medics determine exactly what's wrong.

He continued to play Screech on the initial run of Saved By The Bell on NBC from 1989 until 1993 and kept the character going on multiple revivals.

He hasn't done much acting since his "Saved by the Bell" days, but had been active in stand-up comedy in recent years performing at comedy clubs across the country.

Diamond rose to fame in the '90s as one of the stars of the original "Saved By the Bell".

However, last year's reboot did not include Diamond, despite a number of other castmates like Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley returning to the show.
