Meyer was officially introduced as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday, and one of the first questions he was asked was about his health.

The Jaguars have hired Urban Meyer as their new head coach, turning to one of the most successful college coaches in NCAA history to help spur a turnaround of one of the NFL's worst franchises. I've analyzed this decision from every angle - the time is right in Jacksonville, and the time is right for me to return to coaching.

Not that losing still won't bother immensely, though. "And that, I can assure you, that will not happen and if it will, I'll step in". I'm not going to do that to that organization.

For the sake of our conversation here today, we're going to highlight a number of college head coaches, who made the movement that Meyer is ... "We have great friends here and I kind of feel it through them. I'm not going to do that to that organization". Those days are gone. He also told one Ohio State reporter he didn't plan to hire multiple people from that school.

Meyer took the Ohio State job in November 2011 and over the next several years began experiencing severe headaches, which were related to an ongoing issue with a congenital arachnoid cyst in his brain that was first discovered when he was an assistant at Notre Dame in 1998.

However, the severe headaches returned, and one forced him to his knees on the sideline during a game against IN in 2018.

Washington State Receives First Shipment of COVID-19 Vaccine
Gavin Newsom visited the Los Angeles hospital and watched doses being given to health care workers. Katie Passaretti became the first person in the state to be vaccinated for Covid-19.

Meyer became the head coach of the University of Utah for two seasons (2003-2004).

Now he's back in the game, this time at the highest level and tasked with fixing a franchise that has lost 10 or more games nine times in the past 10 years.

- Owner Shad Khan is switching to a coach-centric model that will mean Meyer could have as much input, or more, as the general manager.

But Meyer, who won three national titles between. We did that at Ohio State. He retired from coaching in December 2018 at Ohio State after seven seasons, citing health problems.

"This is a great day for Jacksonville and Jaguars fans everywhere, " Khan said in a statement. I'm talking about the headache issues that I've dealt with. "But it's just something that I watch very closely".

While Meyer was known for a spread offense in college, he said the offense is adaptable to personnel - citing a change in approach when eventual first-round running back Ezekiel Elliott was the Buckeyes' feature player compared to when eventual first-round quarterback Dwayne Haskins was featured. The Jacksonville players are going to get pushed. They're all grown now. Does a big hot tub do that much of a difference?
