Leverkusen sign defender Fosu-Mensah from Man United

Fosu-Mensah joined United's academy in 2014, having spent eight years in the Ajax youth set-up, and went on to make 30 senior appearances in all competitions.

The defender is out of contract at Manchester United at the end of the season and despite efforts from those in charge at Old Trafford, has looked likely to move away this month.

"Timothy Fosu-Mensah is a technically skilled, fast and physically strong defender who can be used both as a right-back and in the centre", said Leverkusen sports director Simon Rolfes. While the fee that United received for him is still minimal, it is better than losing a young talent like the Dutchman on a free.

The defender also had spells on loan at Crystal Palace and Fulham but failed to make an impact at United.

"It's going to be really exciting".

New York City ending $23m in deals with Trump Organisation
The Trump Organisation profits about 17 million United States dollars a year from those sites, Mr de Blasio said. Removing the Trump name from the rinks, carousel and golf course won't erase him from New York City.

But Jose Mourinho made a decision to send the youngster out on loan twice and he was never able to regain his place in the United side.

He subsequently made substitute appearances in the Champions League games away to Istanbul Basaksehir and RB Leipzig.

Yesterday, we brought you news from Germany that Fosu-Mensah was flying to Germany to undergo his medical with the Bundesliga club ahead of a proposed €2m move.

Leverkusen's Dutch head coach, Peter Bosz, has transformed the once mid-table side into a regular European outfit that has finished fourth, fifth and fourth in his first three seasons at the club.

"So he's working hard, Tim, he's ready for a move for any club that he feels ready for".
