MSI GS66 Stealth Laptop Announced

Let's start with the MSI Raider GE76.

For those that are more concerned with power and performance as opposed to portability, the existing gaming laptops from MSI all now come with NVIDIA RTX 30 series graphics cards as well.

Main gamer models from MSI, the Raider GE66 and GE76 share many of their specifications, with the difference being the screen size. The updated version now comes with the latest GeForce RTX 30 series, paired with Intel Core i9-10980HK processor. You can equip it with up to 16GB of memory and a 1TB SSD.

MSI GE76 Raider Dragon Edition Tiamat Launched

Under the hood the GE76 features up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, along with Intel Core i9 CPU, delivering a super-powered combination. The GE76 Raider will be the company's flagship offering for 2021 and comes in two variants - a normal incremental update over last year's GE66 Raider, and a Dragon Edition Tiamat, which is named after an ancient goddess Taimat, who was known in Mesopotamia as the mother of all gods. The new gaming laptop is up for pre-orders for Dollars 1,799 (around Rs. 1,31,642).

The big news is that the GE Raiders have been upgraded to Nvidia's new GeForce RTX 3000 graphics cards. The laptop is priced starting at $1,499 (roughly Rs. 1,09,500), and will be available from March. At the previous version which is now roll-out in the market, they used NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660 Ti with Max-Q Design graphics with Intel's latest 11 Gen i7 processor. You get a 15.6 FHD display on this machine with a lower 240Hz refresh rate and 3.5ms response time. On the GP76, you'll find a larger 17.3-inch panel with a 300Hz refresh rate. The MSI GP66 Leopard price starts at $1,799 (roughly Rs. 1,31,400), and the MSI GP76 Leopard price starts at $2,299 (roughly Rs. 1,68,000). The MSI GF75 Thin features a 17.3-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080) IPS display with 144Hz refresh rate, whereas the MSI GF65 Thin features a 15.6-inch full-HD (1920×1,080 pixels) display with 144Hz refresh rate. It is also powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11375H processor and up to 5 GHz, together with GeForce RTX 30 series graphics. It features up to 15.6-inch UHD (3840×2160) display, up to 64GB RAM, and two SSD storage. This machine packs a 144Hz display and starts at $1,399. The MSI GE76 Raider comes with a 15.6-inch display, while the Dragon Tiamat edition comes with a 17.3-inch display. The laptop features a 15.6-inch 4K UHD touchscreen display with the latest Intel Core i7 processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics.

MSI tells us that much of the work on the cooling system was already in place on the Stealth 15M through close partnership with Intel and a desire to move to an H Series chip from the outset. And then there's the Creator 15, which MSI has aimed squarely at content creators, packing in things like a calibrated 4K true pixel panel and 100% Adobe RGB color gamut. Of course, the GPUs you can choose from are Nvidia's new GeForce RTX 3080, RTX 3070, or RTX 3060 Max-Q. Aside from covering the latest news, I've reviewed my fair share of devices ranging from smartphones and laptops to smart home devices. I also have interviewed tech execs and appeared as a host in YouTube videos talking about the latest and greatest gadgets out there.
