"I am looking forward to sharing new projects with Naomi in the year to come!"

Monday on social media Osaka announced that she has become a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton.

The announcement comes after an incredible few years for Osaka, winning the 2020 U.S. Open, as well as holding the titles of the highest-paid female athlete by Forbes and Sportsperson of the Year by Sports Illustrated.

As part of the arrangement, the three-time Grand Slam victor, who is now ranked third in the world, will feature in Louis Vuitton's Spring-Summer 2021 campaign by designer Nicolas Ghesquière.

Having a flair for fashion, Osaka also partnered with Japanese label ADEAM and released her own capsule collection past year. As a longtime fashionista, the U.S. Open victor called the campaign a "dream come true" in a press release.

She can now, however, add "brand ambassador" to Louis Vuitton to her CV.

"Aside from tennis, my most treasured passion is fashion; and there is no brand more iconic than Louis Vuitton", said Osaka. Clearly, the feeling is mutual.

LV's Director of Women's Collections Nicolas Ghesquière commended the young tennis star for being "an exceptional woman" and "a role model" for all. Her career and convictions are inspiring. "I am in awe of Naomi, she stays true to herself and doesn't compromise on her values".

In a press release, the luxury fashion house described Osaka as "perfectly incarnating the Louis Vuitton woman", multi-faceted, independent, and modern.

"#NaomiOsaka for #LouisVuitton", Louis Vuitton posted on their Instagram. With a new chapter as an ambassador for the storied French fashion house, it seems Osaka's style journey is just getting started.
