The rate of infection for Boulder residents is 6,428.9 per 100,000 people, data shows.

There are 231 individuals now hospitalized with COVID-19, 74 of whom are in intensive care. Stann Creek district reported two new cases with Dangriga and Independence responsible for one case each.

Dr. Bonnie Henry also announced that there are now 60 cases of COVID-19 variants in BC.

Ehresmann said mask-wearing in public and social distancing will remain critical protections against any resurgence of the pandemic.

"These are the things that we need to pay attention to", she said. "We want to make sure we are not giving a foothold to these variants".

February 16-Thurston County reported 67 COVID-19 cases Tuesday as vaccine supply will limit first-dose clinics this week.

Statewide, there were 4,322 new cases during the last two days, along with 30 additional deaths. The latest data, as of February 6, showed only 32 flu-related hospitalizations in Minnesota; in a typical flu season, that number would already be above 1,000.

There are now 15 active outbreaks at long-term care and assisted living facilities across the province, and six active outbreaks at acute care units. That rate was roughly 4% at this time previous year. Of these, 176,926 people have received their first dose, with a further 91,625 people reaching their second dose.
