This is the first time Trump will comment publicly on Biden's policies after the Democrat was inaugurated on January 20.

Trump has rejected Joe Biden's explanation, however, and insisted the president was being too lenient - despite Biden continuing many of Trump's trade policies with Beijing, and speaking out against persecution of the Uighurs.

The speech is set to air on major news networks such as Fox News, CNN, C-Span and MSNBC and will be livestreamed on CPAC's website and on CSpan.

"I'm not backing down", said Hawley, one of the Republican senators who voted to overturn the results of the U.S. election, which earned him an extended standing ovation at the conference. Speakers, including many potential GOP 2024 hopefuls, have argued the party must embrace the former president and his followers, even after the deadly insurrection at the Capitol on January 6.

Mr Trump again said he "may" decide to run, suggesting he has not yet made up his mind on the campaign.

The results of a straw poll of CPAC conference participants gave Mr Trump a strong show of support with 55 per cent saying they would vote for him in the 2024 Republican presidential nomination race. Companies that leave America to create jobs in China, and other countries that have ripped us off for years, should not be rewarded, they should be tariffed, fined, and punished.

"Hello CPAC, do you miss me?"

The conference, held this year in Orlando instead of the Washington suburbs to evade COVID-19 restrictions, served as a tribute to Trump and Trumpism, complete with a golden statue in his likeness on display.

And while many ex-presidents tend to take a back seat, Trump says his journey is far from over.

A civil war has erupted within the Republican Party with establishment figures such as Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell eager to put Trump in the rearview mirror and others, like Trump ally Senator Lindsey Graham, believing the party's future depends on the energy of the pro-Trump conservative base.

United States political parties usually face a reckoning after a string of losses such as those the Republican Party saw under Trump in 2020: losing the White House, ceding the Senate and failing to take back the House of Representatives.

He also declared that he would not be starting a new party. We took in hundreds of millions, and during negotiations they would say, look, we don't want any more of these tariffs.

Trump's plan is to continue sucking oxygen into Republican territory and preventing the emergence of candidates for the 2024 election - the lineage of wannabes is long. Without Trump in the field, DeSantis garnered 43% support, followed by 8% for South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and 7% each for former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Texas Sen.

He, however, ruled out forming a new party, arguing that such a move will split votes of conservatives, and called on his supporters to unite for defeating the ruling democrats in the 2022 mid-term polls.

The Republican has not given a public speech since leaving the White House for his resort town of Mar-a-Lago, Fla.

He did not stop at that, Trump also hinted at his return by claiming he may decide to beat the Democrats for a "third" time, once again hinting that he has beaten Biden - the Democrat President - this time too.
