As Mr Wright struggles with police, Potter is heard shouting "I'll Tase you!"

Wright family attorney Ben Crump said the family appreciates the criminal case, but he again disputed that the shooting was accidental, arguing that an experienced officer knows the difference between a Taser and a handgun.

On Tuesday night, bottles and other projectiles were thrown at the Brooklyn Center police headquarters and officers responded by firing tear gas, stun grenades and rubber bullets. Protesters near the fence formed a wall with umbrellas.

The Star Tribune reported that concrete barricades and tall metal fencing had been set up around Potter's home in Champlin, a suburb north of Brooklyn Center, with police cars guarding the driveway.
