As per palace rules, all the royals who will not be able to attend the funeral in person will be given private details to honour the Duke of Edinburgh.

Unlike a state funeral, Prince Philip's funeral will be limited to 30 select guests and will not be open to the public.

Queen Elizabeth has made her first solo statement as a widow, following the death of her beloved husband of 73 years, Prince Philip.

Harry has had to fly over to the United Kingdom without his wife, Meghan Markle, so will be alone.

Other royals who will attend the funeral ceremony include, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice along with their spouses Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, respectively, Zara Tindall and her spouse Mike Tindall, Peter Phillips, Prince Edward's wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Princess Anne's husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence and Lady Louise Windsor, and James, Viscount Severn.

Several of the Queen's cousins have been invited but without their spouses, including the Dukes of Kent and Gloucester.

Channel Nine and Channel Seven will also be broadcasting the funeral live.

Even though the prince wanted a "low key" affair, palace sources have confirmed a grand, 42km public funeral procession was always part of the arrangements.

And last week, the day after Prince Philip's death, the Queen's daughter-in-law Sophie, Countess of Wessex tearfully told people gathered outside Windsor Castle that "the Queen has been awesome". The TD5 130 Land Rover in military green, seen in the pictures, was designed for over 16 years and Prince Philip was an active participant in the whole process. The Major General's party and military chiefs of staff follow thereafter.

The monarch will be sitting by herself in the quire of St George's Chapel, with all mourners following Covid guidelines and remaining socially distanced.

There will also be three members of Philip's German family, Prince Phillipp, Prince Donatus and Prince Bernhard.

Finally, the coffin will be met by the dean of Windsor and the Archbishop of Canterbury, who will proceed with the funeral service.

Following the service, Prince Philip will be rested in the royal vault. It will be the first time he joins the family since quitting royal duties previous year.

King George VI, father of Elizabeth, bestowed the title on his son-in-law Philip ahead of his wedding to then-Princess Elizabeth in 1947.

"These peerages are hereditary and on the death of His Royal Highness have passed to his eldest son, HRH The Prince of Wales", a tribute to the duke on the College of Arms website reads, which is why Charles inherited the title on the day his father died. What will follow thereafter?
