COVID-19 hospitalizations and intensive care admissions have also continuedto drop.

Ontario's science advisory table released new projections on Thursday that are based on three different possible scenarios for the next two months. "We believe that if we are able to really continue a high risk community focused vaccination strategy and do that really quickly and expeditiously we have a good chance of controlling the Delta variant and actually a really good chance at a good summer", he said.

"Our rate is higher than Toronto, meaning we are having more spread or cases for the size of our population", said Dr. Emili.

"This is not a doomsday scenario".

"With an increased supply of vaccines, we continue to make it easier than ever to receive a vaccine to help protect those most at risk against COVID-19 variants, stop the spread and protect our hospital capacity".

A second dose of the vaccine adds 50 per cent effectiveness, officials said.

Ontario is speeding up second COVID-19 vaccine doses for residents who live in hot spots where the Delta variant of the virus is spreading.

No green card for TPS holders after illegal entry
The case arose after immigration officials denied a green card application from Jose Santos Sanchez , a citizen of El Salvador. Unfortunately for Sanchez and Gonzalez, the Court ruled that "nothing in the conferral of TPS changes [§1255's requirement]".

Individuals in hot spots within Halton, Peel, Porcupine, Toronto, Waterloo, Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph and York public health units will be eligible to book their second Pfizer or Moderna doses through the provincial booking system as of 8 a.m. on June 14.

Finally, in the worst case scenario, the new more infectious variant would lead to a fourth wave of the pandemic in which daily case counts would rise exponentially and reach 2,500 by mid-August.

In a medium scenario, that number could jump back up to almost 1,000 cases per day by August.

In total, over 10.6 million vaccine doses have made it into the arms of Ontarians.

This contact will provide them with an Ontario vaccination record and also give public health officials with a fuller picture of vaccination rates in the province.

There are nearly 1.4 million people fully-vaccinated with double doses of vaccine.
